- 3.00 Clove garlic
- 1.00 Pound ground turkey
- 2.00 Tablespoon lime juice
- 1.00 Tablespoon soy sauce
- 1.00 Cup cucumber
- 1.00 Tablespoon brown sugar
- 1.00 Tablespoon neutral oil
- 1.00 Head butter lettuce
- 1.00 Cup carrots
- 2.00 Tablespoon fish sauce
- 0.25 Cup peanuts
- 1.00 Piece red chile
- 1.00 Cup Thai basil
Instructions:
- Whisk fish sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, and brown sugar in a small bowl.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add turkey and cook undisturbed for 3 minutes to brown.
- Break up the turkey and cook until no longer pink.
- Add garlic and chile and cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in the sauce and simmer until glossy, about 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and fold in Thai basil.
- Spoon into lettuce leaves and top with cucumber, carrots, and peanuts.
Notes:
- Regular basil works if Thai basil is unavailable, though the flavor is milder.
- Use iceberg leaves for extra crunch.
